This Bulgarian soprano has studied singing at the
Sofia Conservatory with
prof. Bojka Kosseva and at the National Academy of Music in Sofia under
the pedagogic tutelage of Docent Sabin Markov. She is a laureate from the
35-th Francisco Vinas International Singing Competition in Barcelona in
1998
and presently lives in Czech republic.
She began her carrier
on the stage of the National Opera in Sofia - Queen
of the Night in The Magic Flute and Konstanze in The Rape from Serail
from
Mozart, Gilda in Rigoletto and the title-role in Luisa Miller from Verdi,
Rachel
in Halevy's The Jew, etc.
In the Czech Republic she was engaged first at the J. K. Tyl Theater
Pilsen,
where she sang Lucia in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Margherita in
Boito's Mefistofele and others. In season 1998-99 she became a soloist
of the Prague State Opera, where she has created a number of important
roles of the world soprano repertoire such as Lucia di Lammermoor,
Violetta
in La Traviata, Leonora - Il Trovatore, Abigaille in Nabucco, Elena - I
vespri
siciliani from Verdi etc.
From 1998 she cooperates with Opera Mozart as Dona Anna in Don Giovanni
and regulary brushes up her performance under the leadership of prof.
Jiří
Kotouč. During her carreer she has performed in Slovakia, Dannmark,
Germany, Switzerland, Japan and other countries.
Her concert repertory includes pieces like Mozart's Requiem, The 9-th
Symfony from Beethoven, Requiem - Verdi etc. She takes successfully part
in international festivals – Prague spring, Prague Autumn, Bydgoszsz
opera
festival, Smetana's Litomyšl.
She
performed with The National Filharmony Sofia - B.Britten - The Turn
of the Screw and with Prague Filharmony Orchestra - Bononcini - Astarto
and has registrate contemporary music for Arkadia-Agora.
